COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage and Progress in Canada
Canada has begun its largest mass vaccination program in history. COVID-19 vaccination is now underway across all provinces and territories. During Stage 1 of the vaccine rollout, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommended that all residents and staff of congregate living settings and older adults should be prioritized to receive the vaccine.
This interactive map shows the coverage of COVID-19 vaccinations in each province and territory, among those aged 80 years and older as well as in the Canadian general population.
Efficacy of Approved COVID-19 Vaccines
While only 3 COVID-19 vaccines have been approved by Health Canada so far - the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the Moderna vaccine and, recently, the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine - there are many others currently under development and review. These flashcards on COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada and other countries were created by Dr. Etienne Raimondeau at Oxford Nanopore Technologies.
